Welcome to the UMS Communication Studies Program website. This website contains important information about the Communication Studies Undergraduate Program, including student and faculty activities, announcements regarding thesis regulations, internships, or upcoming events, facilities, and the latest news from our alumni.
The year 2021 marked a significant achievement for this program as we successfully upgraded our accreditation status to “Very Good.” This achievement further strengthens our commitment to continuously improve our services and develop key programs to realize our vision for 2029.
The faculty members in the Communication Science bachelor program are highly diverse and have a wide range of research interests. In addition, we consistently encourage research collaboration with students in the areas of research, community service, and manuscript writing for publication, with the aim of further enhancing their potential and contributions to society. Furthermore, the thesis format, which is structured as a publication manuscript, significantly increases students’ opportunities to publish their work in various journals.
Our students are a top priority for us, and they recognize this. We are confident that, within an academic environment characterized by Islamic and international perspectives, students can gain engaging and meaningful learning experiences that will shape their future.

The UMS Bachelor of Communication Science program is a major under the Faculty of Communication and Informatics. The program teaches a wide range of skills, including public relations, journalism, and broadcasting. In addition, students are equipped with other soft skills through elective courses such as advertising production, event management, and more. Moreover, since UMS is a university that upholds Islamic values, all students there are provided with knowledge and understanding of Islam itself through a mandatory program called AIK Mentoring.
